Oh, No, Not Congo, again


DRC Congo is one place where the moniker, God forsaken place is apt. Since its independence in the early 1960’s, Congo has not known peace. When dictator Mobutu was deposed, Congolese breathed a collective sigh of relief, as were the people who care about Congo. However, his ouster only increased the level of fighting and conflict.

As if the current crisis bedeviling Congo is not enough, it is haunted by a spector of Mother Nature’s furry in the form of an active volcano.
